Just, I don't know anyone well enough to ask to tag along to a party or something. I'm still fairly new here, so that's to be expected I suppose, but no one likes to sit around alone on Friday night. I wanted to get out and socialize, but I didn't know where to go, so I didn't go anywhere.

Couldn't you have just gone out by yourself? I'm sure that you could have met someone while you were out. But, I understand how you feel.

Well no, it was dark out and I'm not walking around this town alone. There are bars and clubs and restaurants nearby, but...... don't really want to go to those alone. *sigh*

I'm sure someone would've allowed you into their group if you wanted to go along to a party or somewhere. That's probably the best way to make friends, but I do agree that if you don't know people well enough, tagging along in their group can be a little daunting and uncomfortable. Maybe you can ask someone next weekend (or Saturday night) if you can hang around.
I did nothing last night (Friday) and I'll do nothing tonight more than likely. It's nearly 5pm on Saturday here and I'm happy that I have no plans. I get to do what I like, which is chill to music and I might get some food a little later. Bliss.
Anyway, you will make friends very easily. You certainly have a warm personality on the forums, and I'm sure that translates into real life, too. You will be pushing friends away with a stick before you know it.

That one is totally impractical. The spikes would break off with one good swing, and the chain is longer than half the length of the handle, making it possible to hit your own hand with it. Also, flails have chains, and chains make noise while you're walking.
Totally, totally impractical.

Oh, and Beat? Might I suggest you check out the clubs at your school?
Most schools have clubs specifically for socializing -
but to join pretty much any club seems like a good way to make friends, and the more you have, the more you'll have to ask to go with you when you feel like going to a party.

Nothing wrong with a lazy weekend, though. I'm finding those to be very enjoyable lately, and I'm at the time of my life where I'm supposed to be going out and getting trashed on a weekend! :
