So I just started my first class in Kung Fu with a Shaolin Master last night. My body is sore as hell and I can barely walk. I was arguably mediocre, but I had some trouble focusing my attention on the forms. I worried that other people were looking at me criticaly, but I controled my anxiety decently. Kung Fu is something Ive wanted to do my entire life and this is a fantastic opportunity. The movements are very difficult especialy since I am out of shape (too skiny and inflexible) and he expects you to perform them correctly, immediately. The class is serious, blunt, and traditional. I really recommend Kung Fu to everyone, particularly if you can study under a monk. Here is my teacher. If I have 10% of his skill someday I will be thankful.
