Yeah,they take this thing quite seriously and sometimes make examples out of people.Also it will not be taken lightly with the climate of fear we have after the terrorist attacks on the trains.
If this is your first time getting into trouble,that will be taken into account.How well or how little you have cooperated since the start will also be taken into account.For example if you plead guilty early on (don't know if it's got that far yet?) that will stand in your favor.But you could still get jail time,all depends on the judge.
It depends who or where you threatened,which will determine how severe your sentence could be.
