Last year I went for my first pap smear ever, sadly I got a phone call saying it did not come back normal.
I was told last year I have HPV.
BUT WHAT THE DOCTOR DIDNT TELL ME LAST YEAR, was something I found out the other day when I went to the doctors today for a birth control consult.
It wasnt just any type of HPV.
Its HIGH RISK HPV.
How nice of my doctor to not add that little picece of information last year while we spoke.
Instead I had to wait almost a whole year to find out its high risk.
UGH.
I dont know how to handle this information.
And to make it better I was told today im not allowed to go on the birth control I was going for until AFTER I get another test to see if it comes back normal.
If it doesnt we are going to have to wait to see if im going to need treatment.
