not sure what this is, it'll probably just end up being my life story haha
i've had hyperhidrosis in my hands since i can remember, then when i was in my teens it spread to my armpits and then feet (but mildly). needless to say, it probably shaped the way i've lived my life.
my social life suffered (and it still does in a way), i hated shaking hands with people - even family members -, i didn't like paying for stuff by cash, cuz i'd have to reach out for change with my retardedly wet palm and my 'relationship' side of life e.g. girlfriends has pretty much evaporated cuz meeting a girl and saying 'yeah i sweat insanely' isn't good at all.
my close friends know about it and we laugh and joke sometimes, but when i think about what my life could have been like without it e.g. social life, girlfriends, it gets me down a little. i always used to wear gloves ALL the time, even when holding hands with my ex-gf. it's exam season at university too, so i'll have to dig them out so i don't drip all over the paper :
: i guess most people who sweat under their arms know, as i do, how to strategically wear items of clothing. it's almost become a skill of mine. grey t-shirts on their own are a no-go right?! or thinking ahead whether or not to wear white incase there's gunna be UV lighting :
: when i hit the gym it's alright, cuz you're allowed to sweat excessively there haha
i've tried driclor, which started okay, but then started to irritate. i also tried iontherophosis (???) - the electric machine - which also started pretty well, but then after a while my skin must have built up an immunity to electric current, as it no longer works. it lasts for about a week, so i'm pretty much back to square one again haha.
what really sucks, or rather, what really plays on my mind right now is that after university i'm hoping to be in the United States Marine Corps, and how my sweaty hands will handle it, especially the obstacle course :
:
anyway, sorry for this essay. i guess it's the first time i've really spoken about it properly. thanks guys
