Help Yourself

Hi, I have lived with shyness for as long as I can remember and it took on a more dominant form in my puberty. I have only been aware of the many other people that live with it for about two years. Since then I’ve tried the usual routine that is prescribed by psychologist and books to overcome my fears. Without much success so far, though my communication skills have improved. This is due to the book How to win friends and influence people from Dale Carnegie, it made me aware of the things I did wrong or lacked doing and it describes communication skills that work in a many-example format, witch is good because depending on who you are one example might click while another leaves you wondering.
After my not very determined attempts to conquer my shyness (I considered it more like a job on the side) I decided to give it a rest for a bit and focus on my PHP/web programming home study and finish it first before I would take the time to retool my approach for overcoming my shyness. I am almost done with my study now.

I don’t really know what I’m trying to say with this post yet but my initial motivation to write it was to recommend the book I mentioned because it has helped me and I believe I can help many other (not only shy people) as well.
