You may feel that it's all your fault and be beating your self up about the fact that he couldn't accept you for who you are. Thats his problem not yours.
Then again, he may be splitting up with you because he feels it will be the best for you to focus on your self and this is his love to you in wanting you to be happy. Either way, you need now to focus on getting better and being more comfortable with who you are.
If you cannot be comfortable with your self, others will find it difficult to be with you because they wont know who you are or how to respond to you. They will find it hard to accept and your dependency on others will increase.
When you love someone and want them to be truely happy, fear dissapears naturally because love is such a powerful mind.
