Hello everyone!

I'm now 21 years old and have always been a little shy. I have had real social phobia since I was 15, but unfortunately I realized it only when I was already 18 years old. Well, what a waste of time ^^

I have never been officially diagnosed by a doctor.
I also don't take any medication. I tried a few supplements, but I also completely stopped that. I had some odd experiences with it and now I'm actually afraid of ever taking any kind of pill again.

Right now I'm probably at the lowest point of my life, all my improvement of the last few years seems to fade. Through getting worse and worse I have however acquired a huge amount of knowledge.
I'm seeing the whole problem a lot clearer now ... and I have lots of stories to tell! :)

I'm glad to finally be here :)

Hi, welcome to the forums!
Yeah, I feel like my social phobia got a lot worse in my 20's (I'm 23). Never been professionally diagnosed, either, but I hope to be within the next year.

I think that transitioning from the teens to the twenties is hard on everyone- like your whole enviroment changes and responsibilities start to mound, and a person is supposed to find out what they want to do with their life, especially with social phobia, it's overwhelming- and it becomes easier and easier to retreat and hide. idunno, at least that's what happened to me. I hope things go better for you! And your welcome to share your stories on here.
