I dont think many people here have tried Hypnotherapy, so...
Ive tried Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) a form of hypnotherapy (it has a high success rate of getting people off smoking and phobias), and it can work, but it needs
total commitment from yourself after the sessions have ended. This is because after the sessions have ended you may be given a self-help tutorial (usually a 30min relax CD) which requires you to listen to twice a day for however many days, weeks or months you need it.
Major thing to remember; It is not a one stop cure all. I found out afterwards that it may not be effective for people with SA as it is for people who have a phobia of say, spiders, as people characterists are so diverse its almost impossible to cover every given situation. This is where deeper mental analysis needs to come in (ie psychotherapy / cbt / act / eft etc)
If your Hypnotherapy does that, then congrats, you're on the right path & you'll be singing in the rain in no time

All the best
