Has anyone ever tried Hypnotherapy?

I've read that it could be more successful than CBT, since in hypnotic state, the individual is more relaxed, so the patient and the therapist have an easier access to the deepest subconscious beliefs, who control our emotions and behaviour. Therefore a quicker and more powerful alteration of the unconscious can be achieved.

I tried it about 10 years ago. It didn't work for me, but then I don't believe I can be hypnotized (I realized this after the sessions). The only thing it made me do was feel relaxed, but I was always aware of my surroundings and what the hypnotherapist was saying. But hey everyone's different so it may work for you.
