I've got a chance to apply for a cool job which is literally down the road from me and the hours are gr8, not dealing with customers too. Here's the problem

Should I get a flat payed for by benefits first and then get a job once I've settled down and ready for work, OR get full time work now and pay for it my own way and may even have enough to get other goodies, ie car or internet.

Housing benefits are widely availible in UK but they do limit the ammount under 25's get so I would be recieving around £64 week which is over £270 pcm. Average half decent flat costs around £330 here so I would need to pay the rest myself.

Reason being, I dont want to start work in a few weeks and then throw it in because of my SA. Once I start work I won't be entitled to much benefits, so if i balls up work i've balls up chance of getting a flat.

Any suggestions please for and against
