Group projects

I hate group projects; especially the ones where you get to choose your own groups (and I'm probably the only one too). Everyone always has a group that they're part of except me. This sounds cliche, but I really do wish I could disappear. There's nothing worse than going to the teacher and having to ask her to find a group for you. Nothing like this has happened in a while, but just thinking about it makes me want to cry ::(:::(:::(:

Yeah I know what you mean. The feeling of watching everyone go around and find groups while you sit awkwardly in your seat is humiliating. I hate when you're in a group and no one wants to do the assigned task because it's not 'cool' or whatever, and then they start talking to their friends in the group. I think that's so rude.

Its weird, i actually look forward to group projects, because i really want to get to know people. But once im in groups i usually feeze up and cant talk or think... I hate it when we have to choose our own groups because im always the only person without a partner:(

I used to dread having to form groups where you have to pick your own, but I think I've been in so many groups now that it doesn't bother me to just ask around and see who wants me in their group. Actually, this semester for the most part people were approaching me, which made it easy. I've found that it's not really that big of a deal, and even if you don't know everybody that well or are even friends with anybody, people are generally friendly and most likely will not turn you down flat, or will be polite about it- like just saying that they already have enough group members. But even apart from class projects, I always feel like everyone around me has formed their own "cliques" that I'm somehow always excluded from or have no idea how to break into. But for class stuff, I just suck it up and ask around until someone will work with me. It doesn't usually take that long before someone says yes, and I know I always feel very relieved once I have a group to work with.
