I'm a 16 year old boy from Norway. I'm a bit of a fantasy/sci-fi/science/music geek, I'm slightly autistic (never been diagnosed with anything, though) and I have an IQ of about 137. I guess that means I'm smart or something.
Except from giving 7th graders lessons in Geography while the rest of my class were learning to read I was a quite ordinary kid until I was about 8. Then, for some reason I became really shy, but I've always had at least a few friends. Lately I've been forcing myself into talking to people and now I can communicate somewhat normally with other guys. I'm getting better at being around girls too, but I'm still miles away from getting a girlfriend.
I love music. I play the piano and the bass guitar, and I even write songs sometimes. I like listening to indie pop/rock, classical music, prog rock/metal and jazz. My favorite bands right now are XTC, The Zombies, Gentle Giant and Everything Everything (you probably haven't heard of any of these bands).
One of the things that has helped me getting rid of my social phobia is skepticism. When I realized how friggin' unlikely the 9/11 conspiracy theories were, I also realized how friggin' unlikely the conspiracy theories I was making up about the world around me were.
I have a major crush on a girl in my class. She's hot, intelligent, funny, single, we share a lot of the same interests and she's completely out of my league. We exchange looks and smiles sometimes, but I can't get myself to talk to her. I really hope I discover something about her that I really dislike so I can get over her.
I hope you were able to understand what I just wrote, and that I don't come up as arrogant or something like that.
