Got a briefing today and actually messed up

...because of my anxiety.

She was going through the paper with me with each sentence by sentence and I was literally suffocating in my seat as I could feel a panic attack coming up. I actually said something that shocked her a bit and she was opened-mouth for a split second.

Anyways, there were many set of rules and honestly speaking, I was pretty shock as there were rules stating 'dismissal' in like almost each and every rule..I mean really close enough.

My god, and all this for a measely 4 bucks per hour. And then I have to go through so many tests and everything to get me set into the job, which means there will be much more pressure on me!!

And when she took out the evaluator form, I nearly fainted on the spot!! I froze of course, and she was hanging her head low and i'm guessing she knew I was panicky 'cause she asked me about how long have I worked in the last job and my age and she was actually slightly frowning. It was the form for how she is gauging me throughout the whole process of briefing!!! And man, she was just nice enough to tick the good ones :(

Anyways, she told me to start work next week and god, never had I found a retail job with so much stringent requirements. What the hell, I can't back out now that I've signed the paper.

Omg, I'm going to need loads of meds for this!! ::(: What should I do???

Just relax and tell yourself it's not that bad. Convince yourself that the world goes on, and that people don't stop to see if you're going to fail. While you're working, people do their own thing. They are cooking, they are shopping, they are working hard, they are travelling, they are living. Prepare yourself and make sure you know what you have to do as each day goes by, and take it one day at a time. Try to be excited that you actually managed to pull through and get a job, and hold on do it. Take a deep breath each day before you enter your workplace and tell yourself it'll be okay.

But you have to believe it.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've been out from retail at least 2 months so i'm those sort that needs to be consistently exposed or else I'll turn into jelly.

but man, I feel damn stressed over my upcoming job. And I hope I didn't make her thought that i'm such an idiot because you know, my body language actually gave away, I know she knows. I've worked at retail for quite sometime (even though I kept changing my job) and these people are unforgivable :(

I think you should feel proud of yourself that you got through the interview and got the job. Interviews are always nerve-racking but you must have come across better than what you think you did. Well done

Just try not to overthink it. That's usually what leads to messing up.
