going to try Driclor/perspireX for the first time

I'm 16, and have been sweating alot for 3 or 4 years now. You know the beef, even in cold temperatures, even when sitting in a house with a family, i always get sweat marks underneath my arms. I always make sure im wearing a jacket, but sometimes, its just generally not helpful.

So i've ordered a bottle of Driclor, and one bottle of perspireX (i think they're the correct names - i'm in the UK), and i was wondering if there were any tips or advice for a first time user, from people who probably know what they're doing? I'm nervous about the idea of it, as 1) it seems to good to actually work, and 2) i've read reviews of it causing people alot of pain, with it not actually working..

Many thanks :)

WARNING: This post isn't gonna be of any help :D

Just kidding. I don't know anything about any of them. I wanted to order an antiperspirant for myself, I just didn't know which one to choose. Make sure to leave some feedback :)

BTW, which one do you have, primary or secondary hyperhidrosis?

I Believe i have primary, as my brother also complains of excessive sweating, but not on the scale of mine, and it did start when i was in my early teens (i was an early starter for puberty).

Good luck. I've used Odaban for underarms (also shipped from the UK) and it works great for me with almost no irritation or itching if you just spray a little.

I'm sure the other products are similar. Just use them every night for 4 to 7 days and you should start noticing a difference. After you build up some protection, you can use it every 2 or 3 nights as "maintenance". Of course if it's very hot outside or your HH is really bad, you may need to use it nightly. It's really easy to use though, and so worth it.

Good luck and post back with your results

Okay, so last night i showered, dried, then put a different one on each underarm (for comparison). It didnt sting, at all, and i didnt really feel anything at all. I woke up, washed it off with soapy water, and it seemed to have helped alittle. The house got baking hot at one point, which ofcourse would make anyone sweat, so i dont blame the product for that. I showered earlier, and im going to spend the day chilling around at home. So i guess, so far its too early to judge it, but i'm going to re apply tonight and see what tomorrow brings.

Keep it going for a few days for sure. You need to build up the protection level. You should notice more effect soon.

I haven't used Odaban for the past 2-3 days yet my pits are still dry right now. I'll probably put some on tonight just to make sure I keep staying dry.

Thats amazing, 2-3 of complete dryness sounds amazing, as i know what its like i'm very happy for you that odaban is working for you :) I think i was hesitant last night because of the reviews of i read of people putting to much on, then the stinging becoming unbearable, so i didnt put alot on. However, i'll try to be a tiny bit more generous; not too much, but slightly more than last night.
I'm going out tomorrow, so i'll see how the effects are after tomorrow. I'm not expecting much however.

Okay, so its now been nearly a week since my first application, and i thought i'd post about how i'm doing.

So far, the progress has been great :) steady as expected, ofcourse, for the first few days of application i was still getting wet days where i'd pack a tissue to wipe with, and wear a jacket through the unbearably hot days, which ofcourse only accounted to make things worse; my bad.

Yesterday and today, however, i have started to feel a difference.. I was able to go the whole school dayy (lifting heavy backpack to school and back, socialising in huge groups, and even standing up infront of a class) and still be dry on the clothing. There was a very slight damp and warmness on my underarm, but it's like 20'c around UK lately, thats hot for us. very hot. It seems to be making an amazing difference, i even went down to one layer on the way home (backpack, long uphill, glaring sun) and was still dry on the shirt.

I've applied Driclor every night, about 3-5 rolls, across the middle and around the edges of my armpit. So far things are looking very promising :)

Awesome man!

Underarm HH seems to be the easiest to control (certainly easier than hands & feet). Glad you're starting to see success with Driclor. I think when I started using Odaban it did take several days before I really noticed a big effect. But now I just use it a few times a week :)
