What Helped Me - Long Read

My experience with palmar HH..............

Like many of you, I have suffered from palmar HH for many years. I can think back to middle school, when writing with a pencil was the norm but pencil lead does not adhere to damp paper. I had to use several sheets of paper under my palm so the paper I was writing on wouldn’t become damp. Like most kids I became very image conscious in high school and as a result, HH started to take a negative affect on my life. Eventually I came up with the following creative ways to cope with what seemed to be constantly dripping hands.

1.) I kept heavy duty paper towels in my pocket.

2.) I carried constantly carried a water bottle which tricked folks into thinking my sweaty palms was caused by the condensation on the water bottle.

3.) I quickly and discretely rub my hands on my pants right before a handshake.

Having sweaty palms during career day was absolutely the worse! Constantly rubbing the pants leg of my suit would all but eliminate the crease. Now I had sweaty palms AND a suit that looked unlaundered and pressed. Anyway, after multiple doctor visits and zero luck with Drysol, it was suggested that I try the Drionic machine. After much trepidation I decided to give it a shot and looking back I am glad I did.

There are several keys to using the Drionic machine one must know before placing an order or even using!

1.) The process takes on average 14 days at 20 minutes per hand.

2.) While using the Drionic sweat in your hands WILL increase. However, the increase is temporary and is just a sign that the drying process has begun. Let me explain…..Your pores will begin to block sweat after about 10 days of treatment and as a result, the same amount of sweat will flow through LESS pores thus creating more saturated hands. At this point you are VERY close to the finish line so remain encouraged.

3.) Make sure your hands are completely submerged in water. In the beginning I would rotate the position of the Drionic every other day but later found treatment more effective if I placed palm on flat part and fingers in water well.

4.) Use the Drionic on the highest setting you can tolerate. I only use the maximum setting for best results. I also make sure to have Vaseline close by to cover any cuts, etc.

5.) Always have extra batteries on hand if you can afford it. I typically order 5 or 6 batteries at a time and store them in the refrigerator.
Lastly, I would like to say that I have been using the Drionic machine since 1994 and it is heaven sent. I even saved the receipt from the first order I placed. Oh by the way, they were cheaper back then too!

I also have sweaty feet which are easy to ignore because they have yet to produce an odor or negatively affect my day to day life. I always wear clean socks and practice strict hygiene.

Take care and feel free to reach out if you have any questions?

Great post, thanks.
A few questions. How much were Drionics back then? How long do they last before you need a new one. How much are the batteries? How long do the batteries last? Where do you buy Drionics and how much are they? I used to do ionto using the one I made myself. I used it for two years and I could only maintain about 80% dry. Do you still sweat if you are really nervous?

1. I have never replaced the Drionic machine since 1994. I have only replaced the pads and batteries. For maintenance I periodically use a brillo pad to remove debris from the metal squares.

2. I think the machine was $109 back in the day

3. After full treatment I am 100% sweat free regardless of whether I am nervous, hot, etc It has been this way since I started using the device.

4. The batteries are expensive but at the moment i forgot the exact price. I order them from General Medical Co.

5. Batteries generally last for about 2 COMPLETE treatments (20 mins per hand for 14 days).

Sorry for answering your questions out of order.
