for iontophoresis users - some questions

Hi everyone! I have hyperhidrosis in the hands and feet. I've tried a type of aluminum chloride solution from a dermatologist but it didn't really work out too well. I'm going to try iontophoresis in a few days (gonna build my own first then probably buy the machine if the homemade one doesn't work). I'm really excited about the positive feedback for iontophoresis. it seems that it's been successful for a lot of people. For those who use it: my questions are: 1. how long have you been using it and how effective is it for you? 2. does its effectiveness (if any) ever decrease after a few months/years? do you think users eventually build up an immunity to it?
thanks for the replies!

i used it for around 6-7 months, well the drionic machine. it was pretty effective on most of my hands but i had to use it for 14+ hours to get results of any kind at first...then i guess you can slim that down. i never used it on my feet because i did not care about them.

as for growing immune to it i dont think that would be possible...the only thing you would grow immune to is the pain (which is a good thing!)

Be careful with making your own machine lobertz-don't go zapping yourself. I was in the same boat as you last year-using aluminum chloride for my hands but it wasn't that effective. Iontophoresis should work well for you. Try doing one treatment a day for about 10-15 minutes for about two weeks, then down to two times a week. Your hands should sort of harden a bit over time and you may end up just having to do one treatment a week. Good luck

Hey, HH. Did it take two weeks for you to see results? I kind of overdid it and burnt myself-so I stopped for three weeks and found that my hands got drier without treatment. Now I've restarted the treatments and after eight consecutive sessions am yet to see an improvement. Any thoughts? :?:
