Focus

A Many Splendored Thing

A simple question.

Do you lose focus on your situation around people or perhaps any other time your thoughts grow fuzzy?

I have this problem. People seem to drain the life out of me, and this causes me to lose my focus. Once the focus is gone, I also lose my nerve; thoughts drift to the bad instead of the good. Then it's just a snowball rolling down a snowy mountain that never seems to hit the bottom.

At least on forums like these, I have most of my focus. I don't feel so bound by my mental limitations.

Does anybody have this kind of problem? If so, do you work on focusing to keep yourself on the task at hand without worrying?

Yes, I lose my ability to think properly when around people (my logical brain turns to "mush").
Just the other day (family gathering) i was trying to focus on a new really simple social technique which i had made up (to try to connect/etc better). It was simply to keep toggling between "look after their feelings" & "look after your feelings". But in doing that (which i forgot to do soon enough), i found that my mind went "blank", and so i could barely manage to come up with anything to say.
I cannot "multi-task" with people .. i can barely do one thing at a time with people.
