I have a guy friend and we've been friends for 6 years now. I was and have been his go to person for his girl friend related problems. He had crush on two friends of mine,one did not work out as she was totally a different type and the other one worked out very well for few months but somehow ended up marrying another guy. So he broke off with her. Ever since he was a bit depressed but eventually moved on. That's when he started becoming close to me.
I started falling for him. We used to hang out every now and then , watch movies go out for dinner , drives etc. Am a fodie, so whenever he goes out and finds a new dish or something that I like, he always brings me food back up which he never did before. So every weekend, we hang out for few hours. We sit next to each watch movies, and I didn't notice when but he started touching me a lot. He touches me a lot , like he gives me neck and back massage when am down, or he plays with my hair, he fights with me playfully and he sometimes he makes like on his laps while we are watching the movie. At first, I thought he was being friendly but then there were moments when I used to question myself if there is anything more to it. But the very next minute he talks about some other gal he has seen at mall who was really pretty and asks about how my dating is going on etc. So I've always thought and told myself that he was just treating me as his friend.
One day, we started hanging out like we always do. And he started touching me but he was behaving a bit strange that day. He was trying to touch my belly button and I kind of stopped him. So he started playing with me like holding my arms and neck etc but again started taking off my top. Before I could understand what was going on, I realized he was squeezing my boobs and that's when I stopped him saying it was hurting. He was all sweaty and then calmed down for a while and apologized for what has happened. He apologized and made a remark saying we both are from opposite gender afterall. And said whatever has happened shouldn't be taken otherwise. And assured this wouldn't happen again.
What to interpret from his sentence of "we both are from opposite gender afterall. And said whatever has happened shouldn't be taken otherwise" ? One second, I feel may be he likes me, but the thought of him not kissing me but just making physical move doesn't bode well with me. Can anyone advice me if my friend has any feelings for me? Or was it just lust that made him act this way? He wasn't drunk or anything when he did this. And I haven't heard from him since then. How should I interpret this?
