drinking is fun, only if its with people you know

other than that, I wouldnt recommend it as a casual day to day beverage

I absolutely ****in' love alcohol, and it's not because of the added bonus of decreased social inhibition. I love almost everything about it, unless you go overboard and get black out drunk or drink heavily every day.

I suggest trying it once before you knock it.

I don't drink or smoke. I don't even drive and have never ridden a bicycle. It's because I always stayed at home and didn't do things which other kids did. Because they treated me like an outcast since I was very little. So I didn't see any reason why I should take blows to my dignity by hanging around with brutes like those. But now sometimes I think I may have to start smoking or drinking, considering how low I feel sometimes. But that will just make me an addict and I'm better off without that.

Alcohol makes me sleepy and thats all it does, so I dont drink. On a more interesting note, this dude who went to my college was extremely shy. He got drunk under pressure and he went completely nuts. I think the freedom from inhibition thing was too much for him. Everyone gets teased and pressured to drink. They want you to act like an idiot! otherwise they would have to pay for entertainment.

I don't think I've drunk beer before, maybe taken a sip or two before but I can't recall. As for wine, I have drunk those, but not frequently, only during family gathering, and never with other people before. Just recently, a colleague has asked me to join him and some friends to go clubbing, and seeing I want to change and improve my life, I did and went, and even before we hit the clubs, I was crazy with anxiety I had to leave. Anyway, we talked a bit, and I was so so humiliated because I talked about clubbing and drinking like a fool who hasen't been clubbing/drinking before. In actual fact, I've only been clubbing once in my life and have no clue how to even order a drink at the club! I lied to him of course that I used to go clubbing but later stopped, I don't think he believed it, probably saw through my lie. Anyway, the event had such a toil on me I lay in bed two days with a massive headahe thinking about how stupid I had behaved infront of my colleague and his friends, never again I told myself, but then, its not like he's going to invite me again to go clubbing with his friends, and really, I hope he doesn't, I don't think I could take the crazy stress of all that anxiety.
