I have read several studies about it and it seems that anti depressant pill is not better then a placebo.
So I asked my psychiatrist and he told me I was right that it didn't work for depression only severe but for anxiety disorders it would work.

Now I have been researching but couldn't find something, if its just a sugar pill why would it work beside the positive effects of the placebo for anxiety disorder as well ?

Is there really no hope for me left ?

I think this. I experience long-term: strong social anxiety and mild-depression. I have tried many anti-depressants. The first had a placebo effect. I wanted it to work. After six months it didn't. Similar with the second. Latter pills had no to negative effects. My mind became skeptical and stubborn? Most recent have been stronger and sedating but inhibited day-to-day functioning and created confusion.

Is there really no hope for me left ?

Don't give up on yourself. Find support and a sympathetic ear. Practicing interpersonal therapy might be most effective, such are talking through your thinking patterns (CBT) and gradual exposure to social situations.

I hear you. I have a similar struggle with alcohol. I have been lucky the last few days in that a couple of people have been able to understand what I am going through. Yes, it is really hard to find relief and people who "get it."
