Last weekend I found out I was in Special Education from preschool till first or second grade because I couldnt talk. I know this sounds weird but I never thought of myself as being in special ed because I am very strong in academics and I currently attend a world renowned preparatory school. But even today I find myself not being able to understand people when they talk and think they say totally ridiculous sentences. I cant express myself and the words that do come out are hard to understand according to others. Now I am by no means incapable of speech its just that about 5% of my speech is unintelligible and made up words.
So do you think that this could be a brain development issue?
all of this is all a shock to me since none of my family have ever told me that I was in special needs. I found out by looking at my old class pictures and wondered why i was the only one that was looking at the camera. I really dont have anyone to talk to since everyone at my school gets straight A's and are top students in here in America. I just dont know since now I dont feel like I fit in here anymore.
