Devolution (Not the Devo Album)

Hey everyone,

So I've completely devolved into a social nincompoop. Every... and I mean EVERY single attempt to socialize (ever since I've moved to the big city), even for the briefest time, has turned into a complete and utter disaster (not exaggerating here, almost got into a couple fights). I just can't help myself: I talk out of turn, get extremely sarcastic and generally weird people out. I don't want to be this person, but it's almost like a reflex to social situations. It feels as if another person takes over!

Has anyone else been through this? I've had AvPD for as long as I can remember, but I could really put a leash on it back in the day. Now, I'm completely out of control and I don't know how to fix myself.

yes, I can relate though I don't usually realize that the things i say and do are
mmmm.....what's the word...innapropriate? till later if at all. i think my discomfort leads me to do and say things that are damaging to successful socializing... or even having friends.

I like DEVO very much though..giggle. Gates of Steel is one of my fave.
