This makes sense in my case...I left home at 16 and never went back.

I believe in positive affirmations and use them all the time before going to work or when i go out in general.

well, i sometimes don't believe in this imaginary positive reinforcement until she explain that the brain doesn't differentiate between real and imaginary which suggests that constantly reaffirming urself does have an effect.

How can you call it imaginary??? Do you not agree that through out our lives we consciously and subconsciously put ourselves down which is why we have low self esteem among other problems, is that imaginary too?

By using conscious positive affirmations the hope is that in time we subconsciously do it as well, this way we slowly change the years of constant negative thoughts stored deep in our brain.
