Does anyone feel like they may have chronic fatigue syndrome or ADD? I have always felt that I don't have clean steady energy, mentally or physically. If push myself for a day then the next day I feel totally drained and everthing I try to do jacks my heart rate way up and get really hot. And now lately when I do it I can't sleep at night, not anxiety just feel like a pile of mush. I have noticed that when I go on vacation for a week,(no demands) my problems seem to disappear until it is back to real life. Seems that the sweating is the worst when I feel fatigued or tired and then a demand is placed upon me. Just wondering if anyone else is similar. On a side note I had big hopes of getting somewhere with this problem, made an appointment to Mayo. What a dissapointment, thought they would do some testing to rule out some other disorder. All they did was hook me up to this little machine and asked some questions to see if mental effort increased the sweating and then put you in a hot room to document where you sweat. I did mention the fatigue thing to him but seemed like he was only interested in the sweating.

I know where your coming from fisherman.

As long as I can remember, I have constantly felt like I virtually have no energy. I am always yawning and can never seem to get enough sleep. A major problem through my anxiety is I can never get to sleep and always find myself having to go to the toilet several times, often with barely any results.

when you mention ADD, again I felt like I had mild sypmtoms ( probably not true ). I was the classic day dreamer as a kid, always bored bhut never hyperactive - too lethargic. Now in any job I do I dont listen especially during any training, just sit there bored never with a clue what I am doing ( my mind constantly worrying about HH on hands and feet ). in meetings I become childlike ( not in behaviour ), in that I dont pay attention and look for others in the same boat ( just like school, where I was a trouble maker - but a harmless one ).

Unfortunately all these things keep holding me back.

But what can we do? I guess talkin to others is a start.

All the best

hey fisherman, sorry to hear of your troubles.
Although your physical pain is real, it is probarly just related to the anxiety. I have cfs myself, and it is not something that improves much even when one is on holidays ie:less stress. That you have such an improvemnt on hols, probarly means it's not cfs. But i am no doctor.
I know what you mean about the insomnia, something i suffer from badly...me having the insomnia kind of cfs. It aint much fun, and know how much pain that can cause itself. It's a little bit differnent to the pain i feel from cfs, but i have been able to differentuate the two after having these for so many years.
I'm not sure about the add? Hope all works out, and feel free to drop a line anytime.

what about being tested for a thyroid problem undearactive or overactibve?
if your tierd and fatuque a lot and maybe its a underactive thyroid? As that controls the amount of hormones your body has, plus it does have to do with how much you sweat as well.
This is what I have (underactive thyroid) and now am on tablets which also makes a huge difference to how i am and how i feel,
All you need to do is see your doctor tell them how you are and explain if its worth getting a thyroid test (blood test), you have nothing to lose.

Nedkelly hopefully you read this again as you might have some insight. When I say my problems dissapear I am refering to the sweating. Mentally I feel like I can not lock onto things, like when someone is talking, reading etc.. I feel as though my brain is trying, but after trying to concentrate on something for a while I feel really stressed. Physically I have off and on tried to get in shape but after working out I need 2-3 days to regain some energy, also after working out I feel good for a couple of hours and then crash. And recently I have noticed that when I exercise or have a stressfull day I can't sleep. Like I said in an earlier post I just feel like a pile of mush. I also notice a dry feeling in my muscles like they just are not getting the energy they need. My thrroid is supposedy fine, my mon has the same type of problems but she does have a thyroid condition and blames in on that.
