Blushing! Is it a matter of self confidence?

Hi Everyone

Firstly I would like to say hi to everyone as I have just joined this site today! I hope you are all well and enjoying reading the posts on here.

My problem is that since the death of my dear wife from skin cancer, I have been totally lacking in self confidence. My mind is full of self doubt and negative thinking which was quite the opposite to how I was before she passed away. I have even found myself getting embarrassed and blushing in social situations and when meeting new people.

I have two little boys aged 9 and 4 who I love dearly and I try to remain positive when I am with them, and carry on with our lives as best we can.

I wondered if there are others of you who for what ever reason are lacking in self esteem and confidence and feel that this is in someway partly responsible for you blushing. I would love to hear your thoughts about this.

That's all for my first time on here,

until next time Take care X

there are something wrong in our bodies, most likely related to the nervous system. think about it; when other people get nervous, they most often do not blush. simple as that.

Redfaced i know what your talking about. i started blushing about a year ago im 24, random age to start blushing isnt it? i should be at peak confidence (god dammit). i know the reason why this curse started. dramatic things that happen in your life can impact your health and nervous system through loads of stress. this is a problem, for when the blushing started, it just fueled more stress, which fueled more blushing, creating as what we know as the vicious cycle. thats why i started blushing as i got older, i had created more stress through a busy, over worked life style, dealing with a variety of problems life had throwen at me. mate im doing much better now im trying the anti histamine program with direction from another thread on this website. im not blushing anymore! i think that it has alot to do with that taken time to chill, relax and enjoying those things you like to do. just dont worry about it thats the best thing to do and it will get better i promise. that goes out to all those with the red curse aswell. peace. pay a visit to newzealand thats where i live its chilled here haha
