I'm new to this sort of site. Being AvPD one does not like to reveal much about oneself.
All the so-called 'specialists' I've seen over the years have never been able to come up with AvPD. Either they've never heard of it or it was not studied by them. They've diagnosed
Now can anyone tell me how it is possible for someone with AvPD to work as a nurse, teacher, systems-analyst and in a lecturing capacity?
That's me. Is it any wonder I hated all of these jobs. In fact, on attempting to find a suitable job to match my personality, I discovered that there weren't any!
Are other people with AvPD also unemployable?
What sort of treatment/therapy is available these days for helping one to deal with AvPD (long-standing 45+ years)?
Cheers

and more recently'social-phobia', 'anxiety', 'depression', 'bloody-mindedness'(!),
In a way they're all correct to some degree: but now I know: it's AvPD.'a mild form of Aspergers'.
