Very interesting article... and it makes sense. Depression isn't necessarily a problem in and of itself, there's usually another problem that triggers it. Encouraging the depression (in a healthy way) could bring about a resolution to the problem in most cases... but I think SA is a little different. Part of depression is social isolation, which I think just intensifies our problem rather than helping to solve it.
