Any Aussie swim fans on here?

I love to watch swimming events and was a huge fan of Ian Thorpe. What is he up to these days? It's a shame he retired (at least for us fans) as he was amazing to watch! It kind out sounds like he was suffering from a breakdown of sorts, so it was likely what he needed to do.

Thanks Phocas! I so hope he qualifies for the Olympic team! Not sure if the magic of Athens can ever be re-created, but I'm happy to see him competing again. I haven't been following swimming as much as I used to mainly because my faves have retired. Duel in the Pool was on TV the other day and it got me thinking about Thorpie! Now if only we can get my favorite Dutch swimmer back too!
