Hey everyone, I have been using the idromed 4 with great success. My only worry is that in a couple months I will be going to college in which I will be in a dorm with another roomate whom I don't know. I am very anxious and worried about how I am going to keep my routine of iontophoresis at least once a week with someone else in the room. I am very nervous about letting others know that I need a machine to basically electricute myself. Has anyone else had this problem or at least know how to handle it? I've thought about driving home 2 hrs everyweekend to get a 30 minute session in or even get a cheap hotel for a night to do it? I am very worreid about losing the benefits of iontophoresis because of moving to college. Answers are aprreciated.

Just do it when he's in class and you're not. You won't always both be in the dorm at the same time all the time.

if that doesnt work, just get everything you need (water, machine, etc), put it in your backpack, and check out a study room in the library. there are plenty of places you can go for "privacy" in college. Hell, I have fraternity brothers who used to sleep in the library in the study rooms when they were pledging the fraternity just to avoid having to clean the house. I used the study rooms for other extracurricular activities.... sex ed class, if ya get my drift.

also, once you get to know your roommate, just tell him. he probably wont give a shit if you two are good friends.

I know how we would all prefer to keep our "issues" private, but if your roomie is cool and understanding, I would just put it out there and let him know about it. Then you don't need to worry about hiding it. If you make light of it, I'm sure you're roomie will too.

Just do it!

If they don't like it or try to understand it that's there problem, just tell them to f**k off!

I've found over the years that being honest and telling people is the best thing and it certainly releaves you of much worry. I've also found that good friends don't care and those that do give you a hard time aint worth knowing anyway!

Good luck what ever you choose.

I am in the same boat, entering college in 3 days...... not sure what to do either. I was hoping there would a dermatologist in the area or at the hospital a place where you can pay money to come in once a week and use their machines for 30mins. I have heard of places like that.........
