Advice for introducing myself

I'm starting a new job soon as a route driver for a food company. I will deliver and stock in about 10 different grocery stores a day, so I wanna introduce myself to some of the people who are working in the store at that time, but I'm trying to figure out how to do this without it being awkward.

I start at 4 am, so lets say I walk into a store and there's only 1 clerk up front working. As I pass her/him by, should I say something like:

"Good morning, oh by the way, my name is Dave and I just started working for Company ABC, nice to meet you."

Does that sound good? And should I shake their hand or is that too much? I know I'm overthinking this, but I wanna have a good line memorized, so i don't stutter and sound like a nervous putz. lol

I think it's good, but there's always a bit of improvisation (things might not happen the normal way or the way you think they should happen)...

Just say good morning and go on with your job. If you think something will turn out awkward, well, it will, so don't say anything unusual and don't force yourself into anything. Just greet people and do your stuff.

Shaking hands might be a bit much. See if the other person seems to want to shake hands. But introducing is good, since you're a delivery guy (kinda an intruder). You should probably always say "good morning" because it's friendly and makes people feel good.
