A budding confidence

Well, I don't know but the past few days I have had a partial turn-around in my confidence. I honestly am not sure what caused this change but...wow...it is easier to talk to people now, I feel less nervous around people in general.

But something happened today that kinda shook the confidence a little. There was this girl that said she had liked me awhile ago, but now she is off the market so to speak. I'm dealing with it, but she was coming out of the office tonight and when she saw me, she stopped and went back into the office. Don't know if it was because of me or just a coincidence. I'm trying to not let it get to me, but I hate thse little scenarios that make you doubt yourself especially when I've been making some improvements. Has anyone experienced these kind of setbacks?

I've had so many setbacks. I have a lot of ups and downs. Usually, when I am feeling really happy about something, I end up getting depressed about something else that happens. I think it's normal for people with SA.

I am so happy that your confidence is growing I'm sure you feel as if a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulder. You probably even feel lighter because the constant worrying of SA can make a person very tired.

As for the girl situation I think it is completely normal to feel a little awkward. I'm sure she's worried about what you must be thinking of her after making such a confession to you, which was pretty brave of her by the way. I could never do that.

Yeah, the lessening of anxiety is just a breath of fresh air. About the girl thing...she is off the market now so I'm wondering why she would still care what I think? Also, maybe she didn't even mean it that way. I just hate it when I think someone is avoiding me. It's a little depressing.

So she is still avoiding you? Just because she is off the market it does not mean that she longer likes you.

Sounds to me as though your stressing way too much. You have done nothing wrong and so have nothing to feel uncomfortable about. Maybe she is a little insecure, dont take so personally.

Thx for the advice. I haven't seen this person in a few days so I'm not sure if she is still trying to avoid me.
