There is a 12 Step Group called CODA.

I have a sense, call it an impression, that you might benefit by going to some of their meetings.

You may learn there that there are others like yourself with these issues.

More importantly you might find that there are women there , who have walked in your footsteps, and who have learned to change.

Role models perhaps.

Take care. Be well.

Relationship Issues

I was in an Al Anon meeting on Friday, this is a 12 Step Program for family and friends of alcoholics. It was a venue I had never been to before.

A mature woman ( my age ) sitting two chairs from me on my left appeared very self confident. Well groomed, long nails, make up, the whole bit.

She shared with us that she suffers from a fear of being abandoned. Her father left the family as a child due to the booze, and her two step fathers died from alcoholism. Her point was that she was insecure, and was fearful that her husband of 30 years plus might leave her. She knew there was no reason why he would...it was just an anxiety that she was aware of and needed to talk about.

So you are not alone.

Take care. Be well.
