my anxiety makes other people anxious?

so...

I go to college. I sometimes think that the anxiety I show in class makes other people in the class feel anxious. I think that class members should be more outspoken. I notice that the classes I am in end up being also some of the more quiet ones. The people are less open to the teacher (at least it seems to me). The teacher asks a question to the class and nobody responds.. whereas perhaps other classes, the ones I'm not in, participate more in class discussion, and are more open, less quiet, gives feedback to the teacher, etc.

does anyone else feel this way about other situations in general? ie, wherever you go people tend to become more anxious, perhaps less receptive. Maybe even get into a bad mood. Your mood affects others perhaps unconsciously, or even consciously?

yeah i noticed that , when i dont look peoples in the eyes ,they look like a social phobic ,aha , and when i sit around peoples in a group they dont talk to each other .... the first days of school are definetly the most funnies , i try to get along with peoples and they kind of copy me , you know the quiet starer ,something like that is so weird.

It's true. Whether we are aware of it or not, we're constantly sending out and receiving subtle (or not so subtle) cues through body language. For example, if you're hunched over, looking down, people around you will definitely feel like you're closed off, nervous, low self esteem, etc. Most people will feel this subconsciously without even noticing it, whereas some people are consciously aware of body language cues by education or experience.
