Memories and Panic Attacks

When I was in the 4th or 5th grade, after some distressing events, I woke up in the dead middle of the night, and could not breathe.

I would inhale and inhale and could do nothing. We lived in a two story home at the time, and I remember crawling on the floor desperate to get help, I thought I was going to die.

They all thought it was asthma but the tests all came back negative..

what do you think? could it have been a panic attack? This happened about 3 total times and stopped...

is absolutely was a panic attack. I had my first one in 4th grade.it was accompanied by an obsessive spot and it felt like the room was spinning and I had to hide under the covers of my bed.
