Meeting someone off the Internet, HELP!!!

Well not just someone, he's my online boyfriend. We met on WrongPlanet.net in January. We've been organising our meeting since day one.
I'm supposed to be flying out tomorrow afternoon to Brisbane (Aust) to see him, but there are some things that have made me nervous.

He hasn't read or responded to my emails for an entire week. I'm scared that I've pissed him off and he doesn't want to see anymore (or maybe he's just having internet issues)
We haven't even arranged when and where we're gonna meet. I've tried to arrange things via email, but as I said the emails have gone unread.
Due to mutual anxieties concerning small talk, we've never conversed on the phone (he has AS).

A small paranoid part of me (the part that was born due to years of bullying and harrassment in school) says that this entire 6 months has all been a prank to get me to spend $1200 on airfares and motels for nothing.

I dont know if I should board the plane. If I do and I can't find him when I get there, it will be a very lonely and heartbroken holiday (until next sunday)
If I don't board the plane I've wasted my money

What should I do??

I say go, have your holiday. Maybe when you get there he'll finally respond to your emails and you'll be able to arrange a meeting. If not you can just relax and tour Brisbane. But I do find it strange that he can't even to talk to you over the phone.
