Long-term users of Avert/Robinul/glyco

I have a question for all of you who have used Avert/Robinul/glyco for a long time, let's say at least a year.

Do you still have success with sweat reduction after using it for a year or more? And is it just as effective or do you notice that you need to take more than before?

I know that margiehope has had great results after using it for years, and without decreased effectiveness. I'm glad for that. I'm also hoping there are other members here who are still sweat free after a long term.

I've been using it on and off (due to the side effects) for around 2 years. It's still works the same as it always did, although it is slightly inconsistent. There is no real tolerance issues, in fact I find it builds up your system after a few days use. It really depends on when you last ate etc and what other medication you're on.

Thanks for the info! That's good to hear that you didn't build up a tolerance for it after 2 years.

I tried Avert last summer but maybe didn't schedule my eating pattern correctly because I had limited success with it.

I just got a new bottle of 2mg and will try it again tomorrow. If it works better, I may just use it about 3 days a week for the months of May-September, when my sweating is the worst.

2mg on a completely empty stomach should give you 80% plus dryness, as long as you do not eat anything until it kicks in around the 4 hour mark.

Thanks for the tip, I tried to follow that yesterday when I tried Avert again after not using it since last summer. Although some people say 1 hour before and 2 hours after is okay too. Here is what I did:

I woke up at 8:15am, took 2mg. Then later at 9:15 I had a yogurt and fruit with some juice, then exercised at 9:30 (exercise is important for me, and I still want to fit it in my schedule with avert). It went ok and I did not overheat.

Had brunch at 10:45. Took second 2mg of Avert at 1:15pm. Had a full meal at 3:30 (I take evening classes at school so that was my "dinner").

I was pleased with my results, I was 100% dry all day, even in the warmish weather and at my first day of school for the new semester, which is always stressful for me and I tend to sweat a lot in that kind of anxious environment. I usually sweat in hot and warm weather so I'll continue with Avert to see how it holds up in hotter temperatures (it was about 24 degrees yesterday).

Side effects were slight dry mouth but not bad at all as I drank plenty of water. I felt a bit light-headed though and kind of drowsy which I did not like. So I'm going to try just 2mg for a whole day and see the results I get that way.

I've been using it for 3 years and it's still effective for me. After the first year I think my body may have become slightly immune to it, as there would be some days it didn't work at all. Now I take it with a calcium pill before I go to bed and that seems to do the trick (just wrote an in-depth thread about my experience, look it up if you wish).

Congrats, glad it's working out for you...
Thanks! It's nice to finally have something working for once. I'll try it a bit longer before I get my hopes up too much.

The info is much appreciated, thanks for letting me know. And I'm glad it's still working for you!

I'll take a look at your thread also.
