I'm not much of a jokester or funny story teller but..
One day It was about 2am and I was doing my rounds of the house, checking for unlocked doors/windows. I looked outside at my mothers bird feeder on the back porch. I noticed a blackish shadow moving 'round. At first I figured it was just another possum being curious. I turned on the back porch light then and quietly went back to the window to check it out. There I noticed it was actually a cute little fuzzy raccoon, a young one to. I tried to take a picture, but when I returned with my camera it was gone..
Next day I did the same thing, checked doors etc.. Back light was on already for some reason and I got a clear view of the raccoon eating the birdseed from the ground. Got my camera again but I couldn't get a clear picture, window screens mesh messed up the picture. After awhile I left it alone and came back an hour or so later and it had climbed the top of the bird feeder! Its a really thin metal pole to so I didn't think it could do that. It was funny and cute at the same type, I was trying not to laugh at the silly critter.
Any who, a couple days later I was saying to myself, "boy I wonder if I'll get to see that silly cute coon again". Again, I saw the coon eating up birdseed that had fallen to the ground and some bread. I noticed the coon had increased! Now there were 2! But actually .. 3, after I looked around, 1 was in the feeder and the other 2 on the ground. Looked like a cute little family of coons, 2 young 'ns and possibly a papa or mama coon.
It was amusing and cute at the same time, haven't seen them in awhile though, I miss them and their silly antics~
Does this count as lightening the mood? XD Not a joke or funny story I think.. but It amused me and I love coons. We have a lot of wild animals around here.
