Feeling Alone

Not to be an attention whore tonight but I am a little buzzed and it's probably the only time I'll ever talk about it but does anyone ever...feel so (I don't think theres a single emotion to describe it) sad that they cry? Like usually every week my emotions build up I just break down and cry for a good 10 minutes. Of course this is extremely embarrassing to admit. It happens more then I'd like it to but after wards i feel better. Maybe its just me I donno. appreciate any comments.

hey, i know you got those pm's i sent you back!!!

yes!! i have actually. i'd shut off my emotions completely (to the world) so i'd end up sticking myself with all the pressure. and when you think about it, it's a pretty simple equation: if you don't let a little bit of that pressure out in small amounts, it builds up and builds up until it can't anymore... that's when you just have to break down and let it out. or EXPLODE somehow

some people scream, some people get angry. some people cry. never try to avoid it never be ashamed of it., it's just part of life. it's a release! if crying makes you feel better, look at the situation as therapeutic. by all means, it's not a weakness. if anything it's a strength.

Yes, I do this quite often. And it's nothing to be ashamed of. Better out than in. That goes for emotions as well as flatulence  .

crying is healthy, unless you cry daily and even that might be ok. crying is a sign of extreme stress. there are times when i feel on the verge of tears for the whole day. my dad died recently and i've been a wreck since it happened. but even before that, i cried often. certain songs can make me cry more than anything. many people don't understand that but some individuals are just like that. i've always been very depressed and i think that is one of the reasons that i cry so easily.

I'm sorry to hear that Tab. I've been at that place in my life in the past where I was so lonely that I cried a few times. Same thing when things weren't going right in my professional life. Things can weigh down on us pretty hard sometimes, and I know I've buckled under their weight.

The way I dug myself out of that was to start focusing on little things that I could do to improve my life. I knew that I wasn't going to meet 1000 friends the next day, or get an awesome girlfriend, or become a millionaire. But I took little steps toward those goals. I started talking to people in line in the grocery store. Then I started holding longer conversations with them. Then I started to sit down with people for a conversation at my local Starbucks. Then I asked out one of them and went on a date. Etc.

Start small and work your way up to the way you want to be.
