k, I know that lots of people with sa use alcohol to deal with it, but I have the opposite problem. I'm always really nervous when other people are drinking, cause I never go out (not to mention the fact that I'm a total lightweight cause I never drink).

So, my question: What do you drink? What's your favourite drink? I'm trying to educate myself so as to not feel so threatened.

C,C & dry (Canadian club, scotch).
Baileys on the rocks.
Though, on the rare occasion when I drink nowadays, I try to space them out.
Worrydoll.
Aussie beer goes down too easy too fast :p .
Spirits are easier to sip.

I enjoy IPA (India Pale Ale). It's very bitter, and therefore somewhat of an acquired taste. If you're new to alcohol, I suggest a "light beer" or a sugary drink (rum and coke or something).

But yeah, if alcohol becomes a way to deal with SA instead of just something fun to do with friends on the weekend...then you're developing a problem. Just keep an eye on it.

hey, thanx for the warning. I don't think its very likely with me tho - I'm one of those people who doesn't really drink because I like to feel like I'm in control. Its just that when you start meeting people, and they wanna go out for a drink and stuff...I just don't want to look like a total idiot! :)
