Eye exams while taking Robinul (glyco)

Hi Guys,
What do you say to your optomotrist when you have an eye exam and you're taking any kind of glyco. It does blur my vision slightly sometimes.
I don't feel like going into the whole facial/cranial HH discussion, but they are right in your face so you have to use it that day.
Any and all useful hints are greatly appreciated.
Here's a tip for Secure Wipe users. If it's making your face red, drop down a bit. I went from 3% to 2% with very small increases in sweating but it stopped the red face.
Thanks

Good question. A listed side effect is blurred vision so it can have an effect on your eye exam. But like you mentioned, that is one of those stressful kind of situations where you want to use it. You have to make a judgement call on this one on weather or not to use it on that day.

Last time I went for an eye exam, I was worried about sweating so I took the Glyco. I don't know if it had much effect on the results. The optometrist did ask if I was taking any medication so I told her. Of course she didn't know what it was, so I just explained that it helps stop sweating.

Thanks hyp-hi,
do you wear contacts or glasses. If so have you noticed any problems with the prescription (if it changed)?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, lots of people take meds that effect their eyes one way or another. I'd imagine that if you take the med, the opto will be able to see it when he examines your eyes...

It might even be a good idea to take the med and tell him/her about it so they can check out the eye and check if everything is alright with it when you're on it...

I wear glasses, no contacts. My prescription has been stable for many years now, even when taking the medication.

Thanks for the replies.
You know, it just occurred to me while I was reading them that I can just say I take it and not give any reason. People take Robinul for many other conditions. IBS etc.
