so, theres this study that states that smoking weed increases your chances of getting mental illnesses. at first i thought thats bullshit but it got me wondering if weed could really do it. even though i been like this all my life, it has gotten worse these last few years and i've been smoking for a few years.i also wondered if trying other drugs could have had an impact.i have tried a few drugs other than weed. do u guys think drugs could do something like this only if you do them a few different times? if anyone feels like sharing any stories about their drug experiences, feel free.

Weed made me wait. 8) Wait for everything. 8) Wait. 8) Wait. 8) Wait. 8) "What are you doing?" 8) "Waiting." 8) "What do you want to do?" 8) "Wait." 8) "What are you waiting for?" 8) "Something to advance my life without me having to put an ounce of energy into it." 8)

Pthhhh.

Some thrash band song: 'you keep me waiting, always hesitating for that perfect day. Well that day was yesterday' or something llike that. I am sort of embarassed to have to use a song lyric at my age to demonstrate a thought. I was probably waiting for something 8) , floating on pity highs 8) , and stunting my development 8) as those lyrics were inhaled into my illness 8) . Clue.

Weed made me way too self-conscious 8O 8O 8O . I had to put the sh:t down.

But that's just me. Everyone knows someone that's been chronic since the 80's and owns their own business, or is a professional, or is quite successful in family, job, spirituality, etc.

If the weed turns you inward, I think its's time to reassess use/ level of use. And I'm only talking about weed, because I think you are too.

Hundreds of people will disagree, which is cool 8) .

i think the act of relying on drugs for the release would make someone more suseptable to mental illness just b/c when you don't have it your anxiety levels go up, not really to do with actual chemical imbalances caused by the drugs themselves.

Oh hell yes. The worst part about weed is when you're about to run out - sitting in convenience store parking lots waiting 8) for some guy in a '78 Chevy Nova to show up with a gram. Pathetic. Spot on Chilling__Echo, well said.

Just my observation, that's it.

I think your probaly right masterpiece, I use to think quitting weed caused my sp,But ive realised it probaly masked it and just added to the anxiety when i quit,Anyways im no doctor or anything but the drug/symptoms look pretty right to me. I think certain people are prone to various mental health issues and drugs could trigger them off just as a bad event could.

I feel so extraordinary
Something's got a hold on me
I get this feeling I'm in motion
A sudden sense of liberty
The chances are we've gone too far
You took my time and you took my money
Now I fear you've left me standing
In a world that's so demanding
I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun
My morning sun is the drug that brings me near
To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear
I used to think that the day would never come
That my life would depend on the morning sun...
