Has more to do with being organized and focused in order to live an exciting life than actually being boring.
He even states that we should automate the things that we must do but don't enjoy (i.e. the boring part of our life) so that we can focus on the exciting. That's not what being a boring person amounts to.
Someone who's boring is someone who doesn't do anything interesting. That's not at all what he's talking about. He's clearly just using the term boring to put flavor to his speech which would be otherwise quite bland.
I hope no one here will be mislead in actually believing that doing nothing all day amounts to amazing things.
