Avert Question

Just ordered Avert to try for the first time. My question is how likely am I to overheat if using this pill and then doing an intense workout at the gym?

With having cranal/facial HH sweat begins to stream down my face within minutes of just the warmup of my boot camp workouts while everyone else is bone dry. Within a half hour my shirt is soaked and I've practically filled up a sweat towel. This isn't normal because I am pretty physically fit.

So, since sweat is supposed to keep the body cool if I'm doing a high intensity workout and my body isn't sweating nearly as much as it's used to will I overheat? How can I tell? How can I prevent it? What steps do I take if it happens?

Thanks.

I find I do overheat if the room is warm anyway. I take less of the med when heading for exercise, and, again, make sure to hydrate.

Hey mimosa,

Not exactly sure but I think I might be in the same boat as you, I'm 22 and very physically fit working out almost daily if not twice a day (part of me does this just so that my HH can be "accepted" for awhile/it helps me relax for the rest of the day which means less sweat). I have been taking Robinul (glyco) 4mg daily for the last 4 months straight which has given me some dryness for the first time in over 8 years. I suffer from severe HH of the hands, feet, and underarms. Because I work out a lot, even before I was taking Robinul, rigorous exercise was a concern of mine, especially working out where I live (a very hot climate). When I take Robinul, I take the 4mg all at once usually around 4am in the morning (2 hours before my breakfast). I don't usually workout until late around 8pm and for me personally the Robinul has nearly worn off by then, making me feel more comfortable working out. I sweat very close to as much when I'm off the medicine by then, still have sweat every where. I still make sure I drink a ton of water and don't ever workout outside anymore, keep it confined to my AC'd 24hr fitness. But the overheating hasn't really given me any problems, and the exercise I do people categorize as intense.

Thank you for your response everybody. Mike, there was good information in that link which I read all of it, thanks.

Husky, yeah sounds like I'll have to work the medicine around my workouts which is going to be tough. I also live in a very hot climate but most of my exercise is indoors right now. I work out 6 days a week at various times and 3 of them are circuit training / conditioning where my heart rate gets close to max. Also evenings are when my HH bothers me the most at social events so I can't have the same schedule as you. I'll have to try to workout in the morning and then take the pill afterwards so that I'm good by evening.

I know what you mean about about feeling accepted at the gym sweating but I usually still feel like a freak because there's still nobody there sweating like me.

Can't wait until my order gets here!
