Anti Anxiety Meds and HH

I was doing some research on HH (I've got palmo plantar) and on Wikipedia (I know not the most reliable) it has palmo plantar HH listed as 'emotional Hyperhidrosis'
- I've got moderate HH and when I don't take my Robinul I sweat even when I'm sitting at home doing nothing, but when I'm in class or at some kind of social event I sweat 10x more than usual even with the Robinul-
So my question is, would taking anti anxiety meds before social functions help the extra sweating - has anyone had any luck with this?
When I first got my Rx my doctor asked if I wanted to look into therapy (which I thought was stupid at the time) but maybe it's something to consider ..
And on a second note to Robinul users: Is any one having problems with your eyes being dilated all the time- my parents thought I was on drugs so its a little bothersome -
Thanks - B

I've tried beta blockers (propanolol) and clonidine which is an alpha blocker. Didn't do anything for me. With the propanolol the side effects are pretty minimal so I tried the max daily dosage indicated as safe but even then...nothing at all.

Maybe benzodiazepine is an option on a 'as needed' basis but I have no experience with that. I don't think my GP would like to prescribe them and tbh since they're physically addictive that may be for the best. I doubt it would really dry me up and then there's no point.

Emotional stress (good or bad) definitely is a trigger for the HH but these anti-anxiety meds not working in my mind supports my thinking that HH is a peripheral over reaction to normal stimuli (emotions in this case) rather than a 'normal' reaction to excessive stimuli (again, emotions).

Not scientific but as a general observation I have known a lot of people who are nervous wrecks but sweat just normal, while I've been told many times my self that I'm so laid back and calm all the time by friends (admittedly I also just don't like to show turmoil going on in my brain, but still I'd consider my self pretty cool and collected in general) but I'll be silently sweating like crazy...

Surely if it was just the emotion, lots more high strung people would have HH than is the case now...

In HH sufferers, I think every slight bit of emotion that is normal for everyone to have just causes a huge sweat response, so huge that even the numbed emotions that remain if you take anti anxiety meds are more than enough to still have HH...sadly...
