I do not have any knowledge of the illness you are referring to. But having the symptoms you have would definately suggest i.m.o that something is wrong, at least if the pain keeps getting worse. Only because the blood test failed to detect that something is wrong does not mean that you are completely well. I have first-hand experience with that there are diseases that per date that only can be diagnosed using a check-list of symptoms. I went through all different kind of tests, blood tests, brain-scanning, painful neurological tests etc, but they did not find anything wrong. But still I was sick and I more or less had to find out on my own what it was. Luckily it did not turn out to be a serious disease in my case. And it doesn't have to be as serious a condition that you fear either as there normally are several diseases that have many similar symptoms. But if I were you I would go back to the doctors, print out the article you linked and ask what they think.
