Hello everyone. I was just curious as to other's expirience with ACT type therapies and things. I just ordered a book on the subject, because I cant find/afford an ACT therapist. Has anyone tried it, and found it to be ineffective? If I dont find a way to stop thinking about what other people are thinking about me...i dont know. Wont be pretty.

thanks!

ACT is , in my opinion, far superior to mainstream CBT and any other treatment out there, good luck!

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) has helped me a lot. However, ACT won't stop your thinking about how others think of you. Using ACT you'll notice those thoughts and dismiss them as brain chatter. Instead you'll focus on your values and living a full life.

I wonder if we can put together a freeware version of ACT for the different problems people have on this site?
