Forever branded ostracized for life
She sits coffee shops all alone
Yearning for a friend to call her own
Walking under moonless nights
Hoping someone will hear her plight
Amidst the shedding of misbegotten tears
Afraid of being forgotten another year

Who am I?
I live a life of solitude.
But some of the best writers do as well,
don't they?
I lived this life for as long as I can remember.
I've come to accept it, embrace it even.
For I have not been raised to dwell among the social creatures.
My charade works when necessary.
I can blend amongest a crowd like a phantom of the night.
Who am I? I am human, like you.
I am different, unique.
I am a sister, daughter, friend to anyone who needs one.
I am a Christian, a lyricist, a writier.
My life story forever bound by the words I write.
I am wise, yet naive.
Weak, yet strong willed.
Alone, yet never lonely.
Unwavering, yet willing.
Grounded, yet longing to fly.
Soon, I will understand
Someday, I'll find my true place
My purpose still unknown
I continue to search underneath the endless sky
