...a positive story from a whining pessimist, but yeah, things are looking up for me since starting Sixth Form (= 2nd year of High School, to you Yanks)

I don't have time to be anxious because i'm being totally bombarded with work. Sounds like a bad thing, but it's really not - no more awkward worries about having no one to hang out with during breaks, because i have to work all through the breaks. Also, kids have stopped picking on each other (and me) because everyone is really focused on the crazy amount of work we are getting.

And i've actually managed to socialise with some new people. We've all got something in common - the fact that we will never make our deadlines!

After a major regression in my SA, finally something is starting to pick me up again. I'm really happy lately.

staying busy totally kills anxiety. even if you just keep yourself mentally above water. i've been going long periods of time feeling totally fine about socializing/meeting new people now that i've figured it out, and i'm glad you have too. the less you care, the less it can hurt you. stick a piece of that mental bubble gum in your mind and you'll never have anxiety again.

Good to hear. More work/homework makes my anxiety go up...

Really happy for you and yea i agree with what you say to quite an extent,,, just one objection i have is that work doesnt take SA away permanently... i do a lot of work, getting up at the crack of dawn and going on and on like crazy the whole day.... i get free at 10 pm and then the panic attack is there... no one to talk to, no one to confide in, no one to lean on... i listen to 'Comfortably Numb' to get better and 'IT'S TOO LATE TO APOLOGIZE' by one republic...And to add to your point of view i think work also gets your adrenaline up and makes you strong, assertive and dangerous... seems like an exaggeration but i have felt this way and so i am revealing...CHEERS!
