Hey guys.
I've been battling my depression and anxiety for years. I have decided to get therapy alongside the medication since meds alone seem to do me no good.
But I just tried contacting the local behavioral therapy center and was reminded why people annoy me.
Three different calls and I was quoted three different prices off the "sliding scale". This final time I tried to make an appointment but they said they could see me June 1st...almost a month from now!!!!!
Are things generally such a PITA?
Once I get in (if I do) do they do a full mental evaluation to see what is wrong, or do they just take my word for it? I'd really like a full evaluation.
I saw a psychiatrist once in my life, and it was the most uneventful experience ever. A waste of time really. I need someone to prod me into giving answers, otherwise I go blank while there and think of everything I wanted to say 15 minutes after I leave!
